DA TRAVEL EDITION: The Top Four Places To Celebrate The 4th Of July

With the 4th of July upon us we have been on the move to curate the best spots for you and your family to celebrate America’s birthday. John Adams wrote to Abigail Adams on July 3rd 1776, to celebrate the meaning of the 4th in saying how this day will be celebrated by succeeding Generations, and that Illuminations will go on from one end of the continent to the other from this time on. How amazing is that from 1776 to now we have truly celebrated the 4th with fireworks shows all over the U.S. Well those shows in certain cities have become so popular that people from all around the world will fly in for a 30 minute show of amazing lights in the sky!

Since we are from California it’s only right that we claim the number one spot to be none other than Beautiful, Lake Tahoe. The resorts that sit on the edge of the lake around each bend have incredible fireworks going off on every point of Tahoe, From south shore, West lake, Truckee, Incline village and more; each destination is a show to remember. Whether you have a seat on a boat in the middle of the lake watching each shore’s show or you’re sitting on the beach, Lake Tahoe’s incredible ambiance cannot be beat.

Number two takes you to the city life, the electric Miami Beach. While the city is known for it’s nightlife you can imagine that they know how to throw a party on the 4th of July. From firework cruises to activities at nearly every park across town that the whole family will be able to enjoy. The celebration has tourists adventuring, Vendors on each corner serving your favorite holiday treats, and music to commemorate the occasion. The city is flooded with people so this is your reminder to get your spot early for fireworks.

Let’s move on to our number three choice for an amazing 4th celebration, New Orleans! This city is full of excitement, we have had clients from all over the world go to New Orleans just for a few hours of food (AKA beignets) and fun! The city itself is ranked fourth in the nation for activities! No surprise to us though, from its architecture, historic restaurants, and Bourbon street fun- you can see how this city made our list for America’s Birthday celebration. The firework show is presented on display over the Mississippi River where thousands gather to watch the show over the waters edge!

Last but not least our number four spot to head in the US for the 4th of July is, San Francisco. This beauty has over 8 firework shows going off at once. For a city that is only 7 miles long and 7 miles wide you can imagine that wherever you are during the 4th you will see an amazing show. We’ve gathered the top viewing spots for you from Fishermans Wharf for the music, fun, large crowds, and food. To the boat cruise where you can see the sky light up from the water on independence day.

These Four locations have drawn people from around the world because of their amazing 4th of July celebrations. Our team has created this list so you and your loved ones can create memories that will last a lifetime with a view that you’ll always remember.
