DA Travel Edition: A New York Thanksgiving

Once in a blue moon we hope on a jet and change things up for the holidays.

This year we ditched our traditional Thanksgiving for a memorable trip to the City. Where we watched the Macy’s day parade from our hotel window, Ice Skated at Rockfellers center under the magical Christmas Tree, we didn’t cook a single dish – and ate our Thanksgiving dinner at Le Rock right in the heart of the city and truly enjoyed switching up our holiday.

We love traditions as much as the next, but have you ever considered leaving your hometown for a exciting holiday away. We didn’t know if we would feel the FOMO of missing out on the family dinner; and while we do love spending time with those we love this New York City Thanksgiving was one for the books.

Next time you your thinking about having a white Christmas we encourage you to take risks and see all that other states and countries have to offer in the holiday season.  Walking around Central Park  with a light snow falling might just be what you need to give you that holiday magic.
